An overnight trip with a phone and a rechargeable headlamp doesn't need 10,000 mAh. The Charge 20 PD is BioLite's smaller bank for exactly that.
Tier: budget-to-mid. A good beginner pick for overnights.
Specs (BioLite)
- Battery: 6,000 mAh (22.2 Wh)
- Ports: one 18 W USB-C PD and two USB-A
- Recharge time: about 2 hours via 18 W USB-C PD
- Phone charges: BioLite claims about 1.5
- Flying: well under 100 Wh, so carry-on is fine
Real-world math
22.2 Wh at 60–85% efficiency gives about 13–19 Wh delivered. For a phone with about a 15 Wh battery, that's roughly one full charge, sometimes a bit more. That's fine for one or two nights if you keep the phone in airplane mode.
When to size up
On trips longer than two nights, or if you use your phone for navigation all day, the Charge 40 PD or a 10,000 mAh bank is the safer bet.
