Do you really need solar? For many backpackers, the honest answer is "only a little." The Nomad 5 is for that case. It's a small 5 W panel that can slowly top up a headlamp, a GPS messenger, or a small power bank on sunny days.
Tier: budget-to-mid among branded panels. A light, low-commitment way to try solar.
Specs (per the listing)

- Weight: 12.7 oz
- Size: about 9.5 x 7 x 1.1 in
- Output: USB-A
- Kickstand: built in and adjustable
Set your expectations
Five watts is a small number. In strong, direct sun, a 5 W panel moves only a few watt-hours per hour. That's enough to help a small device, but not to charge a phone fully in an afternoon. Under trees or clouds, expect very little. If you only add one thing to your kit, a 10,000 mAh bank like the INIU usually does more for less weight.
Where it fits
It's best on long, open-sky trips where you mostly need to keep small electronics alive. It's also good as a backup for a satellite messenger.
