Not every Jetboil is a system. The MightyMo is just a burner: a small, folding canister stove that you pair with whatever pot or mug you already own.
Tier: budget among Jetboil products. A good pick if you already have cookware.
At a glance
- Weight: about 3.3 oz
- Ignition: push-button
- Heat control: four-turn simmer valve, so it adjusts more finely than a basic stove
- Cold weather: Jetboil says it works down to 20°F
- Not included: fuel, pot, and any skillet
Why choose it over a system
An open burner works with a wide pot, a frying pan, or a titanium mug. That makes it more versatile for actual cooking. It's also much lighter than any lock-on system on its own.
The catch
Open burners lose more heat to wind than an enclosed system does. On a breezy ridge you may burn more fuel, so a windscreen can help (use it carefully with canister stoves). You also need to supply your own pot, and keep a lighter as a backup in case the igniter fails.
Good partners
Use JetPower fuel for the canister and the Summit Skillet if you want to fry.
