Tier: premium. Built for thru-hikers and fast-and-light trips.
The Stash is Jetboil's answer to the hiker who looks at a Flash and says, "That's a lot of weight just to boil water." Jetboil calls it its lightest system. It weighs 7.1 oz, and Jetboil says that's about 40% lighter than other 0.8 L systems.
How it gets that light
The Stash drops the lock-on burner design. It's a stand-alone titanium burner with pot supports, plus a 0.8 L FluxRing pot with a lid and pour handle. The burner, burner pouch, fuel stabilizer, and a 100 g JetPower can all nest inside the pot.
Jetboil's numbers
| Spec | Stash |
|---|---|
| Weight | 7.1 oz (201 g), not counting the stabilizer |
| Boil time | 150 seconds per 0.5 L (Jetboil's figure) |
| Water boiled | about 12 L per 100 g can |
| Ignition | match or lighter |
| Output | 4,500 BTU/h |
Trade-offs
- No igniter and no cozy. Carry a lighter, and handle the pot by its handle.
- It's more exposed to wind than the lock-on systems, since the burner isn't enclosed by the cup.
- It boils a little slower than the Flash or Zip.
Compared with the rest of the lineup
If your priority is grams, this is the Jetboil to get. If your priority is simplicity and stability, the Zip or Flash is easier to live with.
